Went to kavadi for birding today.
Chances of a crow hunting down that big a bird are less. If it was hunted by some else and the crow was eating just the left overs - then the chances of it getting those juicy big chunks were also less.
While strolling on the banks saw a Jungle Crow sitting on something and gulping lumps of meat - it was easily visible from a distance that that crow was eating a bird. Shoveler like feet were visible.

Thus the case seemed a bit a unusual and it seemed important to check-out what it was eating.
I went close - the crow had already had enough - and left happily.
What I saw was this:
Still no clue. So I decided to pull it out - and there it was - the other leg of the bird was caught up in a string.
Showing the string a bit better
The way it was eaten - it didn't seem like a raptor/mammal kill.
So I turned it over to look for more signs of how it could have died.

All this took about 5 mins. I left the dead duck in its place for other animals/birds to eat.
